Q_wir-@-AG: The LGBTQ+ Network @ Abendgymnasium Wien

Welcome to Q_wir-at-AG, an informal and inclusive network dedicated to supporting queer students and staff at Abendgymnasium Wien. As an integral part of the school community, we are committed to fostering a diverse and welcoming culture at school where everyone under the LGBTQ+ umbrella, including those questioning their sexuality and/or gender identity, can find their place.

Our events

At Q_wir-at-AG, we host a wide range of events to create a sense of community and belonging. Some of our events are identity-based, recognising the importance of providing safe and inclusive spaces where all individuals can feel heard and accepted.

A highlight of our calendar is the end-of-term-drinks event. This event, open to all members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies, offers a welcoming atmosphere. A variety of non-alcoholic drinks are provided, ensuring everyone can enjoy themselves.

Our commitment

At Q_wir-at-AG, we have a strong code of conduct that condemns discrimination and oppression at all our events. We actively encourage feedback from our community members, both positive and negative. We believe in continuous improvement, and you can easily provide your feedback through our anonymous feedback form, with an option to be contacted for follow-up, or by reaching out to us directly via email.

We’re dedicated to creating an inclusive environment at Abendgymnasium Wien, and we look forward to welcoming you to our diverse and supportive community at Q_wir-at-AG. Let us celebrate our differences and work together to foster understanding, acceptance, and unity within the LGBTQ+ community at Abendgymnasium Wien.

This initiative drew significant inspiration from Q_wir-at-wu, a network dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment for queer students, staff, and allies at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Professor Dr Martin Stegu for his steadfast support and dedication to making university a more inclusive and welcoming place.
